BNV : য়ে সময় যারবিয়ামের পুত্র অবিয খুব অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েছিল, সেই সময় যারবিয়াম তার স্ত্রীকে বলল, “তুমি শীলোতে গিয়ে ভাববাদী অহিযর সঙ্গে দেখা কর| অহিযই সে-ই ভাববাদী যিনি বলেছিলেন, আমি ইস্রায়েলের রাজা হব| তুমি দশটা রুটি, কিছু কেক, এক ভাঁড় মধু নিয়ে তার কাছে গিয়ে আমাদের পুত্রের কি হবে জিজ্ঞেস করো| তিনি নিশ্চয়ই তোমাকে বলে দেবেন| তবে দেখো এমন ভাবে ছদ্মবেশে য়েও যাতে কেউ বুঝতে না পারে য়ে তুমি আমার স্ত্রী|”
KJV : At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
YLT : At that time was Abijah son of Jeroboam sick,

KJV : And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray thee, and disguise thyself, that thou be not known to be the wife of Jeroboam; and get thee to Shiloh: behold, there [is] Ahijah the prophet, which told me that [I should be] king over this people.
YLT : and Jeroboam saith to his wife, `Rise, I pray thee, and change thyself, and they know not that thou [art] wife of Jeroboam, and thou hast gone to Shiloh; lo, there [is] Ahijah the prophet; he spake unto me of [being] king over this people;

ESV : And Jeroboam said to his wife, "Arise, and disguise yourself, that it not be known that you are the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who said of me that I should be king over this people.
ERVEN : Jeroboam said to his wife, "Go to Shiloh and see the prophet Ahijah. He is the one who said that I would become king of Israel. Dress yourself so that people will not know that you are my wife.

KJV : And take with thee ten loaves, and cracknels, and a cruse of honey, and go to him: he shall tell thee what shall become of the child.
YLT : and thou hast taken in thy hand ten loaves, and crumbs, and a bottle of honey, and hast gone in unto him; he doth declare to thee what becometh of the youth.`

BNV : কথা মতো যারবিয়ামের স্ত্রী শীলোতে ভাববাদী অহিযের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন| যদিও অহিযর তখন অনেক বয়েস হয়েছে এবং দৃষ্টিশক্তি হারিযেছেন|
KJV : And Jeroboam’s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. But Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
YLT : And the wife of Jeroboam doth so, and riseth, and goeth to Shiloh, and entereth the house of Ahijah, and Ahijah is not able to see, for his eyes have stood because of his age.
RV : And Jeroboam-s wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.

ERVEN : So the king's wife did what he said. She went to the home of Ahijah the prophet in Shiloh. Ahijah was very old and had become blind.

BNV : প্রভু তাঁকে বললেন, “যারবিয়ামের স্ত্রী তোমার সঙ্গে দেখা করে ওদের অসুস্থ ছেলে সম্পর্কে জানতে আসছে|” অহিয কি বলবে সেকথাও প্রভু বলে দিলেন|যারবিয়ামের স্ত্রী এসে অহিযর বাড়িতে উপস্থিত হল| সে আত্মগোপন করে এসেছিল|
KJV : And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself [to be] another [woman. ]
YLT : And Jehovah said unto Ahijah, `Lo, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to seek a word from thee concerning her son, for he is sick; thus and thus thou dost speak unto her, and it cometh to pass at her coming in, that she is making herself strange.`
RV : And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to inquire of thee concerning her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.
RSV : And the LORD said to Ahijah, "Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to inquire of you concerning her son; for he is sick. Thus and thus shall you say to her." When she came, she pretended to be another woman.
ASV : And Jehovah said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to inquire of thee concerning her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her; for it will be, when she cometh in, that she will feign herself to be another woman.
ESV : And the LORD said to Ahijah, "Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to inquire of you concerning her son, for he is sick. Thus and thus shall you say to her." When she came, she pretended to be another woman.
ERVEN : But the Lord said to him, "Jeroboam's wife is coming to ask you about her son. He is sick." Then the Lord told Ahijah what he should say. Jeroboam's wife came to Ahijah's house. She was trying not to let people know who she was.

BNV : কিন্তু অহিয দরজায তার পাযের শব্দ শুনতে পেয়ে বলল, “এসো গো যারবিয়ামের স্ত্রী| তুমি কেন লোকের কাছে নিজের প্রকৃত পরিচয গোপন করছো? তোমাকে আমি একটা দু:সংবাদ দেব|
KJV : And it was [so,] when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself [to be] another? for I [am] sent to thee [with] heavy [tidings. ]
YLT : And it cometh to pass, at Ahijah`s hearing the sound of her feet [as] she came in to the opening, that he saith, `Come in, wife of Jeroboam, why is this -- thou art making thyself strange? and I am sent unto thee [with] a sharp thing:
RV : And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
RSV : But when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, he said, "Come in, wife of Jeroboam; why do you pretend to be another? For I am charged with heavy tidings for you.
ASV : And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
ESV : But when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, he said, "Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why do you pretend to be another? For I am charged with unbearable news for you.
ERVEN : Ahijah heard her coming to the door. So he said, "Come in, Jeroboam's wife. Why are you trying to make people think you are someone else? I have some bad news for you.

BNV : যাও ফিরে গিয়ে যারবিয়ামকে বলো প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর বলেছেন, ‘যারবিয়াম আমি তোমাকে ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত লোকদের মধ্যে থেকে বেছে নিয়ে আমার ভক্তদের অধীশ্বর বানিয়েছি|
KJV : Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,
YLT : Go, say to Jeroboam, Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, Because that I have made thee high out of the midst of the people, and appoint thee leader over my people Israel,
RV : Go, tell Jeroboam, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,
RSV : Go, tell Jeroboam, `Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: "Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you leader over my people Israel,

ESV : Go, tell Jeroboam, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: "Because I exalted you from among the people and made you leader over my people Israel
ERVEN : Go back and tell Jeroboam that this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'Jeroboam, I chose you from among all the Israelites. I made you the ruler of my people.

BNV : দায়ূদের বংশধর ইস্রায়েল শাসন করত| কিন্তু আমি সেই রাজ্য তাদের কাছ থেকে কেড়ে নিয়ে তোমাকে দিয়েছিলাম| কিন্তু তুমি আমার সেবক দায়ূদের মতো নও| দায়ূদ একনিষ্ঠ ভাবে আমাকে অনুসরণ করত, আমি যা চাইতাম ও তাই করত|
KJV : And rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do [that] only [which was] right in mine eyes;
YLT : and rend the kingdom from the house of David, and give it to thee, -- and thou hast not been as My servant David who kept My commands, and who walked after Me with all his heart, to do only that which [is] right in Mine eyes,
RV : and rent the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it thee: and yet thou hast not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in mine eyes;

ERVEN : David's family was ruling the kingdom of Israel, but I took the kingdom away from them and gave it to you. But you are not like my servant David. He always obeyed my commands and followed me with his whole heart. He did only what I accepted.

BNV : কিন্তু তুমি অনেক বড় বড় পাপ করেছ| তোমার আগে কোন শাসক এতো জঘন্য পাপ করে নি| তুমি আমাকে অনুসরণ করা বন্ধ করে দিয়েছ| তুমি মূর্ত্তি পূজা ও অন্যান্য দেবতাদের পূজা শুরু করেছ| এর ফলে আমি খুবই ক্রুদ্ধ হয়েছি|
KJV : But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:
YLT : and thou dost evil above all who have been before thee, and goest, and makest to thee other gods and molten images to provoke Me to anger, and Me thou hast cast behind thy back:
RV : but hast done evil above all that were before thee, and hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:

ERVEN : But you have sinned worse than anyone who ruled before you. You stopped following me and made other gods for yourself. You made those statues to make me angry.

BNV : তাই আমি তোমার পরিবারে বিপদ ঘনিয়ে আনব| তোমার পরিবারের সমস্ত পুরুষকে আমি হত্যা করব| আগুন য়ে ভাবে ঘুঁটে পোড়ায ঠিক সে ভাবে আমি তোমার পরিবার সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করে দেব|
KJV : Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, [and] him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.
YLT : `Therefore, lo, I am bringing in evil unto the house of Jeroboam, and have cut off to Jeroboam those sitting on the wall -- shut up and left -- in Israel, and have put away the posterity of the house of Jeroboam, as one putteth away the dung till its consumption;
RV : therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every man child, him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweepeth away dung, till it be all gone.
RSV : therefore behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both bond and free in Israel, and will utterly consume the house of Jeroboam, as a man burns up dung until it is all gone.
ASV : therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam every man-child, him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweepeth away dung, till it be all gone.
ESV : therefore behold, I will bring harm upon the house of Jeroboam and will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both bond and free in Israel, and will burn up the house of Jeroboam, as a man burns up dung until it is all gone.
ERVEN : So Jeroboam, I will bring troubles to your family. I will kill all of the men in your family. I will destroy your family completely, like fire burning up dung.

BNV : তোমার পরিবার থেকে য়ে কেউ শহরে মারা যাবে তাকে কুকুরে খাবে এবং তোমার পরিবারের য়ে লোক মাঠে মারা যাবে তাকে শকুনে খাবে| প্রভু বলেছেন|”‘
KJV : Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it.
YLT : him who dieth of Jeroboam in a city do the dogs eat, and him who dieth in a field do fowl of the heavens eat, for Jehovah hath spoken.
RV : Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat: for the LORD hath spoken it.
RSV : Any one belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city the dogs shall eat; and any one who dies in the open country the birds of the air shall eat; for the LORD has spoken it."'
ASV : Him that dieth of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the birds of the heavens eat: for Jehovah hath spoken it.
ESV : Anyone belonging to Jeroboam who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat, for the LORD has spoken it."'
ERVEN : Anyone from your family who dies in the city will be eaten by dogs. And anyone from your family who dies in the fields will be eaten by birds. The Lord has spoken.'"

BNV : ভাববাদী অহিয যারবিয়ামের স্ত্রীকে আরো বললেন, “এবার তুমি বাড়ি যাও| তুমি তোমার শহরে পা রাখার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই তোমার পুত্র মারা যাবে|
KJV : Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: [and] when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
YLT : `And thou, rise, go to thy house; in the going in of thy feet to the city -- hath the lad died;
RV : Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine house: {cf15i and} when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
RSV : Arise therefore, go to your house. When your feet enter the city, the child shall die.
ASV : Arise thou therefore, get thee to thy house: and when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.

ERVEN : Then Ahijah said, "Now, go home. Your son will die as soon as your enter the city.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত লোক কাঁদতে কাঁদতে ওকে সমাধিস্থ করবে| যারবিয়ামের পরিবারে একমাত্র তোমার পুত্রকেই কবরে সমাধিস্থ করা হবে| কারণ যারবিয়ামের পরিবারে এক মাত্র প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর তুষ্ট ছিলেন|
KJV : And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found [some] good thing toward the LORD God of Israel in the house of Jeroboam.
YLT : and all Israel have mourned for him, and buried him, for this one -- by himself -- cometh of Jeroboam unto a grave, because there hath been found in him a good thing towards Jehovah, God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
RV : And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave: because in him there is found some good thing toward the LORD, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
RSV : And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found something pleasing to the LORD, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
ASV : And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward Jehovah, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
ESV : And all Israel shall mourn for him and bury him, for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found something pleasing to the LORD, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
ERVEN : All Israel will cry for him. They will bury him, but he is the only one from Jeroboam's family who will be buried. This is because he is the only one in Jeroboam's family who pleased the Lord, the God of Israel.

BNV : প্রভু ইস্রায়েল শাসন করার জন্য এরপর য়ে নতুন রাজা বেছে নেবেন সে যারবিয়ামের বংশ ধ্বংস করবে| এসব ঘটতে আর বেশী দেরী নেই| তারপর প্রভু ঈস্রাযেলের ওপর আঘাত হানবেন| দেশের সমস্ত লোক ভয়ে থরথর করে কাঁপতে থাকবে|
KJV : Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
YLT : `And Jehovah hath raised up for Him a king over Israel who cutteth off the house of Jeroboam this day -- and what? -- even now!
RV : Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now. n
RSV : Moreover the LORD will raise up for himself a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam today. And henceforth
ASV : Moreover Jehovah will raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.

ERVEN : Soon, the Lord will put a new king over Israel who will destroy Jeroboam's family.

BNV : “তারপর প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ওপর আঘাত হানবেন| ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা ভীত হবে তারা জলের মধ্যে ঘাসের মতন কাঁপবে| এই ভালো দেশ থেকে প্রভু ইস্রায়েলকে উপড়ে ফেলবেন| এটি সেই দেশ য়েটি তিনি তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের দিয়েছিলেন| তিনি তাদের ফরাত্‌ নদীর অপর পারে ছড়িয়ে দেবেন| এসবই ঘটবে কারণ প্রভু লোকদের ওপর ক্রুদ্ধ হয়েছেন| তিনি ক্রুদ্ধ হয়েছেন কারণ তারা বাঁশ দিয়ে আশেরার মূর্ত্তি বানিয়ে পূজা করেছিল|
KJV : For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
YLT : And Jehovah hath smitten Israel as the reed is moved by the waters, and hath plucked Israel from off this good ground that He gave to their fathers, and scattered them beyond the River, because that they made their shrines, provoking Jehovah to anger;
RV : For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the River; because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.
RSV : the LORD will smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and root up Israel out of this good land which he gave to their fathers, and scatter them beyond the Euphrates, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.
ASV : For Jehovah will smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and he will root up Israel out of this good land which he gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking Jehovah to anger.
ESV : the LORD will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water, and root up Israel out of this good land that he gave to their fathers and scatter them beyond the Euphrates, because they have made their Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.
ERVEN : Then the Lord will punish Israel. The Israelites will be full of fear that they will shake like tall grass in the water. The Lord will pull Israel up from this good land that he gave their ancestors. He will scatter them to the other side of the Euphrates River. The Lord will do this because the people made him angry when they built sacred poles.

BNV : যারবিয়াম নিজে পাপ করেছে, আর ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের পাপাচরণের কারণ হয়েছে| তাই প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের পরাস্ত হতে দেবেন|”
KJV : And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.
YLT : and He giveth up Israel because of the sins of Jeroboam that he sinned, and that he caused Israel to sin.`
RV : And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he hath sinned, and wherewith he hath made Israel to sin.
RSV : And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and which he made Israel to sin."
ASV : And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he hath sinned, and wherewith he hath made Israel to sin.
ESV : And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and made Israel to sin."
ERVEN : Jeroboam sinned, and then he made the Israelites sin. So the Lord will let the Israelites be defeated."

BNV : যারবিয়ামের স্ত্রী তির্সাতে ফিরে গেল| বাড়িতে ঢোকার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই তার পুত্রের মৃত্যু হল|
KJV : And Jeroboam’s wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: [and] when she came to the threshold of the door, the child died;
YLT : And the wife of Jeroboam riseth, and goeth, and cometh to Tirzah; she hath come in to the threshold of the house, and the youth dieth;
RV : And Jeroboam-s wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah: {cf15i and} as she came to the threshold of the house, the child died.
